Migraine central

I've been meaning to write something about this for weeks. You could attribute it to culture shock if you want. You could say I am just intolerant or unappreciative. You could say I need to learn some manners.

But I can't stand the way women talk over here. I hear it as I walk by old ladies in the grocery store. I hear it when I wake up in the morning to the mothers herding their children to the daycare down the street. I hear it in the Spanish dubbing of American shows and movies.

Sam and I have tried to pinpoint the source of our feelings on this matter, have tried to really describe what it is that brings the migraines so quickly and effectively. Is it something quantitative? Could I describe it by the particular pitch, tone, or frequencies that come out of their mouths?

It might be I am just unaccustomed to it, I haven't grown up with it, so my mind rejects it as unfamiliar. But the result is undeniable: their voices are a barrage on my mental state, a cacophony of screeches strung together. They speak to each other on the street - whether they are 25 or 90 - as if they are arguing something far more important than any previous argument in the history of the world.

I have included a video so that you have any idea of what I'm talking about.
